Nathy Peluso and Young Miko Ignite the Stage at Billboard Latin Music Week 2023

Nathy Peluso continued to showcase her unparalleled swagger and poetic prowess during her electrifying performance at the 2023 Billboard Latin Music Week, held at Miami’s Oasis club on Wednesday, October 4. From sultry bachata to brass-infused salsa, riveting rap verses, and even a mesmerizing cover of Camilo Sesto’s “Vivir Así Es Morir De Amor,” Nathy Peluso set the stage ablaze with her dynamic presence. Dressed in a denim dress paired with black leather boots and a creatively cut-up T-shirt, the artist delivered captivating renditions of her songs, including “Ateo,” “Alábame,” and her latest single, “Ella Tiene.”

Kicking off the evening, Billboard’s Latin Rookie of the Year and opening act, Young Miko, radiated confidence as she took the stage. Adorned in a vintage black tee featuring Marilyn Monroe with pink text that boldly stated “Hollywood Is Hell,” the young rapper delivered a high-energy performance featuring her hit tracks, including “Lisa,” “Wiggy,” “Riri,” and the reggaetón sensation “Chulo Pt. 2.” During her rendition of the mellow trap hit “Big Booty,” a concertgoer threw a pair of pink underwear onto the stage. Young Miko picked it up and playfully twirled it while continuing to captivate the audience with her performance.

Earlier in the week, both artists participated in the “Boys No More!” panel alongside Nicki Nicole, Kany García, María Becerra, and GALE. During the discussion, Nathy Peluso reflected, “When I began my journey in rap, there were very few women in the scene, and it was a struggle to carve out a space for myself. Today, we’ve come a long way from those times, and I’m grateful for the efforts of my fellow female artists.”

Young Miko added, “I discovered that we [Kany García and I] were part of the same [LGBTQ+] community, and it gave me the courage to speak openly with my mother. Things are changing now, and I’m thankful for that. Today, there’s a more receptive audience, one that is seeking change.”

Celebrating over three decades, the 2023 edition of Latin Music Week featured an array of events, including a Superstar Q&A with Shakira, the Legends on Legends conversation with Chencho Corleone and Vico C, Making the Hit Live! with Carin León and Pedro Capó, and a panel featuring RBD’s Christian Chávez, Christopher von Uckermann, and Maite Perroni. The event also included a Superstar Songwriter discussion with Edgar Barrera and Keityn, among numerous other panels, Q&A sessions, and workshops. Additionally, Latin Music Week featured captivating showcases by artists such as Peso Pluma, Mike Bahía, Greeicy, DannyLux, and Fonseca, to name a few.

Official partners of the 2023 Billboard Latin Music Week included AT&T, Cheetos, CN Bank, Delta Air Lines, Lexus, Netflix, Michelob ULTRA, and Smirnoff.

Latin Music Week coincided with the 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards ceremony, broadcast live from the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida, on Thursday, October 5. The awards ceremony was aired on Telemundo, Universo, Peacock, the Telemundo App, and across Latin America and the Caribbean on Telemundo Internacional.
