After dominating two consecutive awards shows as the top winner, Puerto Rican sensation Bad Bunny is finally making his comeback to the Premios Billboard de la Música Latina.
In the previous year, Bad Bunny secured nominations in a staggering 23 categories at the Premios Billboard and walked away with a remarkable nine awards. His absence from the ceremony was due to his rigorous rehearsal schedule for the SoFi Stadium concerts, just two days after the event.
In 2021, Bad Bunny was the undisputed champion with an impressive haul of 10 awards, including the coveted titles of “Artist of the Year” and “Song of the Year” for his chart-topping hit, “Dakiti.” Once again, he opted not to attend the ceremony.
While Bad Bunny did make a brief appearance at the Billboard Mujeres en la Música event six months ago, it was solely to present an award to Ivy Queen.
Following his electrifying opening performance at the 2023 Grammy Awards featuring his chart-toppers “El Apagón” and “Después de la Playa,” and having amassed a staggering 19 Billboard awards in his illustrious career, Bad Bunny is now all set to make his return as a performer at the Premios Billboard. He has confirmed his participation in the upcoming show, which is set to take place in Miami on Thursday.
The prevailing buzz surrounding the event hints that Bad Bunny will take the stage to perform his latest smash hit, “Un Preview.” This song, widely believed to be about Kendall Jenner, has already garnered over 13 million views on YouTube since its release last week. Billboard, in its press release announcing Bad Bunny’s participation, promised a “world premiere” performance that will undoubtedly “leave the audience in awe.”
Beyond his musical endeavors, Bad Bunny has been busy diversifying his portfolio outside of the music industry. The Puerto Rican artist recently made a notable appearance in “Cassandro,” the Prime Video biopic centered around the legendary lucha libre figure portrayed by Gael García Bernal.
Among the other confirmed performers at the upcoming Premios Billboard are renowned artists such as Calibre 50, Chiquis, Eddy Lover, El Alfa, Eladio Carrión, Farruko, Grupo Frontera, Justin Quiles, La Factoría, Los Ángeles Azules, Los Sebastianes, Manuel Turizo, Marc Anthony, and Marshmello.
Don’t miss the excitement as the awards show airs on Telemundo at 4 p.m. Pacific time on October 5th.
